Sareban Hotel
A home in Küçük Ayasofya
Sareban Hotel opened in 2023 on Cinci Meydanı Street in Küçük Ayasofya, on the slope of Sultanahmet that faces the Sea of Marmara. As an alcohol-free, family-friendly and quiet hotel, we welcome guests who want to explore the Historic Peninsula on foot.
Our neighbourhood: Küçük Ayasofya and Kadırga
The hotel stands on quiet streets between the 6th-century Little Hagia Sophia and Mimar Sinan’s Sokollu Mehmed Pasha Mosque. In Byzantine times this was a harbour quarter; in Ottoman times it held shipyards and madrasas — and it is still a lived-in local neighbourhood today.
Turn right out of the door and the slope leads up to Sultanahmet Square; turn left and you reach the Marmara shore along the Kennedy Avenue promenade. Read more in our Küçük Ayasofya and Kadırga guide.
Alcohol-free, family-friendly hospitality
No alcohol is served at the hotel. It is a deliberate choice for families with children, guests who prefer an alcohol-free environment for religious reasons, and anyone who simply wants a peaceful stay. See our alcohol-free family hotel page for details.
As a small hotel we get to know our guests: we plan your days with you, share the best times for museums and mosques, and arrange tours and tickets.
The building and rooms
Our five-storey building, with dark wooden shutters and pale render, blends into the street. Inside is modern comfort: a lift, air conditioning, soundproofing, smart TVs and bathrooms lined with blue-grey veined marble. See every room type on our rooms page.
From the rooftop terrace you can see the Sea of Marmara, the park fountain and ships waiting on the horizon — at sunset it is our guests’ favourite corner.
